Coobowie Opens Bird Hide in the Estuary

The local paper printed an article on the bird Identification workshop held in Coobowie at the New Bird

Hide. The Bird Hide has been established on the Left side of the causeway heading to Edithburgh and

has a large car park area suitable for a number of cars or a coach load of enthusiasts.

Tourists and locals are using the facility and finding it a great asset for those who enjoy a touch of

birdwatching the facility offers protection from the elements and a great opportunity to view many of the

local water birds who inhabit the tidal pools on low tide.

Coobowie Progress has also had a bird identification brochure printed to support the attraction with

copies available at the Caravan Park or at the General Store.

If you are looking for a place to have a family reunion or to bring a group of friends this spacious building

is just what your looking for. Bookings are starting to flood in and school groups and even a craft group

have made use of this functional facility in the corner of the Coobowie Caravan Park and within easy

walking distance to the shop, hotel and beach.
